Jayne Pierson Internship

This was an internship opportunity that lasted the course of three months, three days a week, to assist in the design and creation of the Spring/Summer 2024 collection that was showcased at London Fashion Week 2023.

My responsibilities

My roles whilst working at Jayne Pierson Ltd included observing the day-to-day running of a busy fashion studio from call-ins for press and liaising with the PR team, Pop Group, based in both London and LA, working on orders from private clients, preparing garments for editorial shoots, working with photographers cataloging archive pieces, organising marketing product and materials ahead of the London Fashion Week catwalk show, liaising with hair and makeup teams, preparing existing patterns for collaboration with Stratasys 3D printing, working on hand-drawn designs and digital print in preparation for Stratasys’ 3D printing, duplicating existing archive patterns for master patterns, hand-embellishing textiles, machine sewing 3D fabric pieces together from an existing pattern.

Whilst working backstage at London Fashion Week, my roles included working closely with Scott Clark, the stylist, on castings and fittings with the models. Dressing the models, ensuring implementation of the concept, overseeing the hair and MUA teams had completed the looks in accordance with the specifications of the agreed look. Ensuring each model had the correct look after the dressers were finished.
